Because Oxfam IBIS is a member organisation, the overall framework for Oxfam IBIS's work is set by the members - in practice by the board which is elected every year at the general meeting. The chairman of the Oxfam IBIS board is Christian Damholt, Oxfam IBIS' general secretary is Lars Koch.

The Board
The board consists of 10 members. Nine are elected in the general assembly, while one is elected by the employees of Oxfam IBIS in Denmark. The nine members elected at the general assembly are elected for two years at a time.
